Massimo Berruti Stampa

Massimo Berruti was born in 1979 in Rome, where he actually lives. In 2003, after a short course of photography, he stopped his studies in biology to go deeper in photography. Freelance photographer, from 2004 he started to work in east Europe and mostly in Italy. Here he worked about immigration, suburbs and industry crisis: parts of his work where published in a book called "Made in Italy". His professional career began working with the most important Italian and European magazines such as l'Espresso, Internazionale, D la Repubblica delle Donne, Le Monde2 and The Independent. Since 2008 he began travelling in central Asia, particulary in Pakistan and Afghanistan, where he documenting the changing society.

Massimo Berruti è nato nel 1979 a Roma, dove attualmente vive. Nel 2005 abbandona gli studi in biologia per approfondire la sua passione per la fotografia. Nel 2004 inizia a lavorare a un progetto collettivo poi diventato, nel marzo 2006, un libro intitolato "Made in Italy" (Trolley ed.). La sua carriera professionale si consolida lavorando con i più importanti giornali italiani ed esteri, come l'Espresso, D La Repubblica delle Donne, Io Donna, Amica, Vanity Fair e Paris Mach. Dal 2008 viaggia e lavora prevalentemente in Afghanistan e Pakistan, documentando l'evoluzione sociale e politica dei due paesi.
