Stories of a wall that is a monument despite himself. Stories of men who place bricks and others who shot them down. Stories of children who play to get over the wall and adults who were killed to get to the other side. "Prima e dopo il muro" is a tale of a divided city that, just two decades ago, has reassembled his fractures. The creation, the decline and the fall are told trough the pictures (exhibited until February 14th at the Museo di Roma in Trastevere) of the photographers who documented the life of the wall and around the Berlin wall: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Leonard Freed, Bruno Barbey, Ian Berry, Guy Le Querrec, Gianni Berengo Gardin, but also young authors such as Nicola Gnesi and Davide Monteleone, walking along the fragile border that divided the world in two blocs. Their shots reported the faces of people climbing onto a balcony to say goodbay to loved ones remained on the wrong side and faces of people who, on 9 November 1989, succeeded finally to take each other hands and resume the thread of history. Storia per immagini di un muro che è un monumento suo malgrado. Storia di uomini che posano mattoni e di altri che li abbattono. Storia di bambini che giocano a scavalcarlo e di adulti che si fanno ammazzare per arrivare dall'altra parte. Prima e dopo il Muro racconta 40 anni di una città divisa che, esattamente un ventennio fa, ha ricomposto le sue fratture. La creazione, il declino, la caduta, vengono raccontate nelle immagini (esposte fino al 14 febbraio al Museo di Roma in Trastevere) dei fotografi che hanno documentato la vita del muro e intorno al muro di Berlino: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Leonard Freed, Bruno Barbey, Ian Berry, Guy Le Querrec, Gianni Berengo Gardin, ma anche giovani autori come Nicola Gnesi e Davide Monteleone, camminano lungo la fragile frontiera che ha diviso il mondo in blocchi. I loro scatti ci tramandano i volti di gente arrampicata su un balcone per salutare col fazzoletto chi è rimasto dalla parte sbagliata e quelli di gente che, il 9 novembre del 1989, riesce a riprendersi per mano e riallacciare il filo della Storia.
